( This is a "repackaged" version of a very old web site I did
about
some projects to my old Santana 2023C sailboat)

Aft
Port Locker
O.K.,
it looks a little anal, but it was my first stab at organization in
the cockpit...
-
- I put a white plastic
frame around some 1/8 inch Louan and screwed that right through the
seat top with four screws (they are flush on the topside). The frame
(some plastic "U" channel) raised the wood away from the seat
so I could use nuts on the back of the wood panel. With the Louan mounted
away from the surface, I could bolt anything to the wood and rearrange
it as necessary.
-
- There are four dock line
hangers, a tiller extension, and a spare main boom furling handle.
-
- Down in the bottom of
the locker, I epoxied some divders out of the same Louan for spare gas
tank, throw line, bungees, etc.
-
- I also epoxied four 4
inch sections of 3 inch PVC pipe together like this:
and just set the whole thing in the floor of the locker.
It is perfect for holding cans of butane for the stove and propane for
the grill.
