( This is a "repackaged" version of a very old web site I did about
some projects to my old Santana 2023C sailboat)

Sun Cover

This was a bear to make. I saw the one in the magazines for $300+ and I had to try it.

I used 3 sets of long fiberglass replacement tent poles from Wal-Mart. My patient wife sewed 3 tubes into some rip-stop nylon.

There are little webbing loops all over to tie the thing up to the rigging.

A webbing loop at each pole exit that has a bungee to hold the cover as low as possible down the "curve" of the poles.

Each pole is just tied to the base of a stanchion on the welded support thing.

There is a rolled up panel at the aft end to hang down if needed. It has ties at the top for when it is rolled up.
