Swim Ladder (on the cheap)  

I am a firm beleiver that absolutely anything can be made from PVC.
 
Case in point: my $11.78 swim ladder.
 
 
This was pretty straight forward. The only thing you can't see here is a section of rope running through the entire structure.
 
It is knotted at the endcaps as shown below.
 
The blue line below shows where the rope runs.
 
 
 
 
 
The rope is in there "just in case" the PVC glue fails. As you can see, if any of the joints fail, the rope will hold the whole thing together (the PVC tubes extend well into each connector).
 
The glue has not failed in 3 years, however.
Even with 200lb friends using it.
